• To understand the purpose of the sun and moon in the celestial heavens. This is the key to unlocking the Prophetic Drama throughout the Scriptures.
• God makes the great luminary to rule the day, and the small luminary to rule the night and the stars.
• The celestial sky is a giant calendar.
• If the sun and the moon can be compared to the hands on an analog clock, and the constellations in the Mazzaroth (zodiac) to the numbers on the clock, then can you see how the sun and moon show the observer what is happening in the sky?
• Not only do the sun and moon show us days and years, they show us signs and appointed times in the sky. They point to signs and appointed times, they point to the Messiah, but they do not predict events and foretell the future.
• Eclipses do not predict doom or end time events, but show the glory of God (Ps. 19:1).

4/16/2056 BC | Abrahamic Passover | Shur (Taurus)
| Mizrayim (Libra) | Tzedeq (Jupiter) in Teomim (Gemini) |
Just as Abraham was willing to sacrifice his twelve year old son Isaac to the Lord, this imagery is similar to the relationship of the Father and Son’s relationship depicted at Calvary 2090 years later. Because this event was pre-Mosaic Law, all nations are included in the blessings of Abraham. They brought the wood on a donkey, and the 12-year old Isaac asked where was the lamb? (Who came to Jerusalem on a donkey, but Jesus Christ?) Yet, God provided a ram, a male sheep, with its horns (strength) caught in a thicket (thorns). Taleh, the Hebrew constellation for the Ram is also known as Aries. What is amazing is the night sky is similar to the time of Christ.
Taurus represents a sacrifice, Libra the scales of justice, Jupiter as righteousness in Gemini the twins.
According to Josephus, Abraham taught the Egyptians the science of astronomy (Antiquities of the Jews 1.8.2) .

Moses, who was schooled in Pharaoh’s courts, would have understood astronomy. The barley had been destroyed by hail (Ex. 9:26-31), except in the land of Goshen where the Israelites were able to gather the Aviv, or Firstfruits. At the beginning of the first month, the Sun was in Taleh and the Moon was in Shur and were aligned perfectly with the Vernal Equinox. Through the centuries, this alignment has become off kilter. On the evening of the fourteenth of the month, the Israelis sacrificed their lambs. At midnight the Moon was eclipsing in Akrab, signifying God’s glory for Israel. This was the only total lunar eclipse “blood moon” on Passover evening through the centuries.
